Great for Side Sleepers!

"The HEST Dually Mattress fits perfectly in my Go Fast Camper Roof Top Tent, and it has completely changed how comfortable camping can be. As a side sleeper, finding a camping mattress that is actually comfortable for an entire night is a BIG deal—and this one delivers. It has the comfort and support I want without sacrificing the functionality of my RTT. I can leave the mattress and my bedding in the tent and still shut everything up when it’s time to pack up. Comfortable enough to sleep on, practical enough to actually travel with—that’s exactly what I want from a camping mattress."

Got 99 problems, but comfort ain't one

"I have had other mattresses in my rooftop tent. The mattress that my tent had come with sucked, so I had upgraded to a foam/air inflatable for a while, but that would deflate on us in the night. So, I upgraded again to the HEST, and it has been absolutely amazing. It is easily the most comfortable and reliable mattress I have slept on while camping. So comfy in fact that this summer my girlfriend and I camped on a night that was extremely warm. So warm that we were sweating through the night, had kicked off the blankets, and desperately needed some airflow through the tent. The next morning, while eating over breakfast, we were both complaining about how hot we had been, when I stopped paused and started laughing. We had 100 things to complain about, but not once did we mention that we weren’t comfortable. We were hot and sweaty, but not once were we not comfy. THAT is what made me realize how amazing this mattress truly is. The only caution I would like to share is a mistake I had made. DOUBLE CHECK THE SIZE BEFORE ORDERING! There are multiple mattresses with the Dually name. Make sure you are getting the correct size. Other than that, this mattress has been absolutely amazing. It has made a huge difference in how comfortable we are camping, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it."

BEST MATTRESS EVER

"seriously the most comfortable sleep we get is in our camper on out HEST mattress! when we no longer live on the road full time we will be buying one for our future home, its that good!! We even got our dogs a dog bed so they aren't missing out :)"

— Zack L. (5/5)

The solution to comfortable sleep at camp

"I recently swapped out my air mattress in my RTT for the Dually Long and I'll never go back. It has completely changed my level of comfort at camp, and I am finally able to get quality sleep."

— Brian L. (5/5)

THE ACTUAL BEST

"I've had the Dually in my GFC Roof Top Tent for a little over a year now and it has been SUCH a game changer. As a woman in her 40s I realized that it was time to upgrade my sleep situation -- I no longer wake up with back issues or have to compromise on my comfort level while I'm out exploring. It also fits PERFECTLY in the GFC, leaving a little room at the end (entrance) for shoes/power bank!"

Great for Road Trips

"I would definitely recommend this Dually mattress and was surprised at how much I felt it benefit me. I've been on 2 long-distance road trips in my life, one with the HEST dually mattress and one with a regular bed mattress. I was surprised at how well I slept with HEST's dually mattress, especially since I had to share it with my brother (we are both about 6'3, 200 pounds). I was not looking forward to that sleep but was shocked when I had enough room and we both consistently slept through the whole night. I felt well-rested and energized which is very important when we were hiking all day. Another big benefit I found was the spacing as well. It was much easier to stay organized when our mattress folded nicely and we could easily put stuff on top of it compared to having a normal bed mattress where I would try to shove/fold it in the corner and it felt like it was always getting in the way. On my most recent road trip, where I did not have access to the HEST mattress, it made me appreciate how nice the mattress was even more. I could feel the difference when I'd wake up, especially soreness in my back that showed that the normal bed mattress could not provide me with the same support that the HEST mattress did. I definitely recommend."

Great quality. Needs large storage space.

"Very comfortable. Quality product. Not too heavy. Just awkward to store because of its size."

Should have done this sooner

"Been camping for over 10 years and I wish I would have invested sooner. Best sleep I've ever gotten while camping and our 2 medium size dogs fit with me and my husband on the wide version"

Q&A

Do you guys ship to Australia?
We currently only ship within the United States.
Is it possible to roll up the Dually and secure it with cargo straps for travel? Would this harm it? We need to travel with in in the back of our 4Runner along with other cargo and it’s a bit unwieldy when just folded in half.
We recommend two foamys that you can connect together to make the same size as a dually. That way when you are transporting them you can roll each up individually. See the bottom graphic on this size guide https://choosehest.info/blogs/news/which-hest-mattress-fits-me-best-quiz-guide-flowchart
Okay this is question 3) I really wish you had a 72 inch long dually other than the Dually Wide version. Our problem is that we can't drive the car with the seats in the position they need to be for the full extension of the platform (which is 80 inches when extended). Given that combined with our gear storage issues we're considering the Dually Short. While it's not fully extended we can however fit the dually short and we would need to source some foam to fill the gap at our feet. This leads me to the following question - is it possible to (obviously non-refundable) buy a small section of your foam? Specifically something 12-16ish x 50 that we could use for the gap?
We might have some options for you. Please email [email protected] with this same question and our warehouse team can try to help you out.
I've been trying to get answers to these questions from Hest via email and their online messaging but they have yet to reply and it's been a few days so I will try here before giving up: I'm considering one of your Dually mattresses for our Subaru Outback and have a few questions for you: Question 2) How much will it squish (LOL highly technical term) if put in a spot that's a little tight? We have a platform in the Subaru and there are some sections where the platform is ~48 inches wide. I would think it should squish down and fit fine but wanted your thoughts on this...
Sorry for the delayed response to your email to [email protected]. Our team is back at the warehouse this week. We had events over the last couple weeks and have been slammed (small company issues). Hopefully someone got back to you today or recently.
I have a cabin in Alaska. The temperature can be -40+ in the winter. Will this ruin the mattress? And if I use the cabin in winter will the mattress be frozen/hard. And if so, for how long (after wood stove heats cabin)? Thanks!
Well hopefully you are not sleeping in -40 degrees. If you can heat your cabin close to 0 degrees you should be good. Based on the science of the materials we use, the mattress should still offer comfort well below 0 degrees F.
